The ones Tom posted in message # 2579 are the correct ones, and the
ones that came in my coupe 615762 (1986) Dash Plaque # 109 of 115.
They were frail, and with normal use lasted about 18 months. (Normal
use meaning 13 to 15 thousand miles a year). Many of us have spent
years trying to locate the Original Manufacturer, and have never been
able to. I have chased down many leads, each time to hit a brick
wall at the end. Sadly whoever made them did not think enough of
them to put their logo, Identifacation or trademark on the back-side
of them. There is no way to I.D. them. Nobody at asc recalls and
they no longer have any paperwork. They are not the factory mats
with the black patch & ascMcLaren orange logo sewen on, as they are
thicker & the carpet is heavier and a darker shade of grey than the
factory mats. They are totally different.
