All Mustang LX 2-Door Sedans built under "D32" Special code by FoMoCo
to become ascMcLarens were Ford Factory Painted in Raven Black, and
were all identical except for interior color & transmission type.
Cars that were ordered with a blue interior were made in white in 87,
89 & 90. In 88 they were made in light grey. Therefore, your engine
compartment being black, is 100% correct. If the car had BLUE
interior, your engine compartment would have been white, BUT
ascMcLaren would have had to go the extra mile and RE-paint the
engine bay black.
The roof color on that car in question is "Claret-Wine" while the
interior is "Scarlet".

If it's in reasonably good condition it's worth at least the $6,500.
Try the A/C ~ most of them need repair.....THAT car may have allready
been done......But...maybe not. It's around $2,000 ~ Know that !
