Subject: Time to play, "WHAT IS THAT?"

OK, laugh if you must but when we disassembled and then reassembled
the 1985 coupe, we had a few "parts" left over. One has us a bit
stumped. Now I haven't really focused efforts on the engine bay yet
and the car has an aftermarket carb and what not so this thing may
be some run of the mill part that was in every Ford but it seems to
serve no use as of now:
