I suspect the front windshield glass is the same on a McLaren as it is for any 'old' Mustang or Capri equivalent.
The removal of the moldings around the windshield is no big deal - but the material is not very forgiving to bending etc. So unless great care is taken with the molding's removal the odds are that you may cause a small crack in the upper top left or right hand corner of the molding.
I would be far more concerned about ever having to replace your driver or passenger window. That glass is actually cut with the 15 degree angle and is not an in stock item. I suspect that if someone should ever break your side windows you would be forced to try to take a 'stock' Mustang or Capri window and try to find a shop that could 'trim' it and smooth the cut edge.
This is not the definitive answer to your question though as I am just guessing, based on what I have seen so far when I removed the windshield wrap off my car ;)

This may be a silly question but here it goes. Is it more difficult
to replace the windshields on the roadsters because they are 20
degrees lower and have large moldings around it? I am dreading the
thought of ever replacing mine cause I can see the molding cracking
at the corners and wondered if the 20 degrees effected the size or
placement of the windshield. Thanks in advance.
