You know, I never even new a new Maurauder existed until I happened
to stumble on it in ebay a while back. I've never understood why
Ford doesn't market some of their lines better. My '96 Probe GT was
the best car I ever owned. It was sporty, fit a ton of stuff
because it was a hatchback, handled great with the independent
suspension, "peppy" with the manual tranny as long as you kept the
RPMs up, was AWESOME in the snow with front wheel drive and snow
tires and killed by Ford because of no marketing or willingness to
compete in the marketplace.

Now they have the Cougar, although nice, it isn't nearly as
versatile as the probe was and nothing like its name sake. I
couldn't see trading in my Probe for a "lesser" car so I kept it for
3 more years.
