Don't forget, the Cougar is no longer made either. :(
I think perceived value has a lot to do with it as well. I oogled over the
Marauder concept when it first was shown at SEMA about 4 years ago. And when
it finally arrived last year. I still think it would have made the ultimate
family ride, but my wife on the other hand no matter how much I tried to
persuade her otherwise considered it to be nothing but another Grand Marquis
and she said we are NOT buying an "old man's" car.
Oh well, my boss ended up buying one, so I get to at least look at one every
Monday - Friday. :)
