Jeff is 100% correct and I need to add the "fix" ~
Get a faucet washer, small, smaller than a dime. On the flat
surface, put a piece of double sided tape, and stick it on the button
you pushed in. This will build the buttom out and it will make
better contact with the trunk's hinge arm.
