>ford fairlane had a retractable hardtop convertible
As well as M-B, Mitsubishi and Lexus most recently.
>cadillac alante has a removable hardtop(and a rag,
>just in case), so do the older benz's, and t-birds.
And Corvettes, Chrysler TC, the '95 Mustang Cobra, and
MANY little British sports cars. Hmmmm, "sports car",
probably the most often misused term of all. Most cars
now referred to as "sports cars" are at best Gran
Turismo cars and at worst sporty LOOKING cars.
BTW, when I raced my Triumph TR-6 (a "sports car") the
rollbar regulations were different for convertibles
and fixed roof vehicles. By bolting on a factory hard
top I fell under the fixed roof rules.
OK, I'm putting this soapbox away now.
