"Well..... I could be wrong, but for the Mustang family, they have
always referred to the 'trunk' model of the Fox body Mustangs
as 'coupes' and the rear glass models as hatchbody or hatchback. I
don't know if this is 'Ford' terminology or just the way it is
referred to by the majority of the 'common folk'."

Ford has referred to the 2 door coupe as a "sedan" in the brochures
since 1986 and the hatch has been called by Ford either a 2 door or
3 door hatchback depending on the year.
