Yes, they were one in the same. asc/McLaren was just informing the potential buyer that their car came with the "HO" version of the 302.
The same engine as the Mustang GT, Mustang LX 5.0, and the Lincoln Mark VII LSC.

What does the term "high output" 5.0 l (302 cu. in.) engine mean  in these brochure?  I was under the impression that McL just used the stock engine as it was installed by Ford. Of course, Ford could have called it "ho"  for sales reasons?
