Dick, this reminds me of something - well sotra kinda strange. 
Neighbor on the right goes out and spends 2 hours doing his lawn. 
Cuts, edges, trim bushes - that kinda stuff.  Other people walk by
and say nothing - or "Hi, how 'ya doin" ~
Neighbor on the left comes out & begins raking his lawn to get the
leafs off.  Oh, spends an hour with the blower, the rake, the blower,
the rake, on and on.  People walk by and say, "Nice Day, how 'ya
doin"?
Me?  I'm in the driveway, NOT out in front, but UP my driveway, about
30 feet from the sidewalk, and I'm either washing or waxing one of my
cars.  Same people feel compelled to YELL up to me, "HEY, CAN I BRING
MINE OVER WHEN YOU'RE DONE" ?
I've never understood this dumb @$$ remark.  Did they ask Mr. Raker
if he'd come over their place & rake?  NO!  Did they ask Mr. edger,
cutter and bush trimmer to stop by later & do theirs?  NO!
So, why ME???  One jerk never missed an opportunity (like each time
was the first time!) - finally one day, I fired back, "I'll be over
to do yours as soon as you go in and help my wife clean the toilets" !
Yes, it worked!  You ever get that bull-crap when doing your car ??
If a guy was up on his roof doing a repair, I'd NEVER think of
yelling up to him to come over & have a look at mine and clean out MY
gutters, when he is done!!
