Well I got my 1985 blue coupe used in ~91 and it had a 7.5" 2.73 rear axel.

Can't really say for sure it was stock as I bought it used. But then again
with 40k or so on the clock I don't think the original got trashed and
traded out for a higher geared axel. I also think it was original because
the chrome shocks appered to never have been off the car. Then again you
never know.

Maybe Sandy can shed some light on this one.

sticker denotes axle code is 'M'. I thought 'M' is for 2.73's
and 'Z' was for 3.08's. Did the 3.08's not get installed in the
rear until later (before the decal was made) or is this one of those
MANY freak mistakes which I happen to have by FORD and/or Mclaren.Jason
