What I found out is that Florida shreds everything after 8 years.

The last record I had of my car in FLorida was like 10 years ago.

If the title is in the previous owner's name, you need the previous
owner to sign it over not the current seller. Either that or you
start a dance with the DMV to regain a clear title. Well good luck,
hopefully your state lets you get the title.
