Hehhehehe... Sandy forgot to also mention the 'look under the passenger seat' answer. Apparently a number of McLaren owners who found their 'ID badge missing' found them under their passenger seat.
The story goes that the adhesive would let go ( maybe from living in super hot and sunny areas ) and the badges would fall off and bounce under the seat...
One thing I am not sure of... is whether they ever bothered to note on the 'build sheet' the ID number that was slapped on to the cars. If you don't have the original build sheet, you can pull out the seats and look under the carpet - as that is where a number of folks stumbled on their vehicle's build sheet from ASC. Even if it doesn't have the vehicle ID number... it would make a great souvenier to find...

edition emblem is there anyway io can find it out with my vin number
or another place in the car that would happen to tell me the number?
