The final year for ordering Special Order Paint Application was
1992. Beginning with 1993 production,Ford changed to water-borne
paint process (no lead) and changed the entire paint process. At
that time they eliminated the private person's ability to order such.
As of 1993 and forward until present, only bulk orders of cars can
have such. I believe the number 15 units. They go to Govn't.
agencys, the Red Cross (yellow Ford Taurus station wagons, and to
large companies. There are many colors that are OWNED, and cannot be
used by anyone else. Examples: Cutty Sark Yellow/UPS Brown/Mary Kay
Pink/Westinghouse Lilac-Blue. These they will make, for those
companies, however Mary Kay is exclusively GM product. (Grand Prix &
Cadillacs.) You missed out by 4 years.
