your friend is kinda right computers were designed to
not only run the fuel injectors and read all of the
cars sensors but to learn the driver... the computers
memory is erased everytime you un plug the battery. if
you run it for a bit you might see the check engine
light come on and a code would be stored about
something like "battery dead or memory erased" your
not harming the car at all though the only thing your
doing is makeing it re learn to your driveing. dont be
worried your fine

just always remember disconect NEGITIVE b4 positive
and reconect POSITIVE b4 negitive (your really only
have to be pulling off your negitive cable they also
make screw nobs to go between the terminal and the
cable just un screw and re screw as needed)
