More than likely it won't increase in value over what you paid any time soon if at all.
The way *I* see it....
The big problem is that the asc relationship with the Mustang died off. Unlike Roush or Saleen which are household names and continue to be active in Mustang modifications and speed parts, asc becomes more and more obscure as time goes on. Even some of the special packages offered in the fox platform (by Ford) are slowly being forgotten or obscured by misinformation.
Your car if immaculate with 23k miles on it will gain value quicker than most of the others that get driven alot. If you were prospecting back then, a Saleen or even an early SVO or Buick GNX would have been a better investment. And yes, all those have engine mods that make them highly sought after. That is the basic trend...fast production cars become collectible first.
For me, the cool thing are the neat stories behind the asc cars and the fact that they are fairly rare and conversation pieces.
