Nelson, you are correct. The mirror-on-door was a running change
during the 1988 production. Up until the change they used T-Top
doors, after the change they swtiched to convertible doors. While
the mirrors were not atached yet, the doors did have the attachment
holes punched in them, in preparation for the mirrors... Capris & 87
& early 88 'Stangs used T-Top Doors, 1/2 year 88 & 89 & 90 used
Convt. doors. I will work on finding out the difference for my
homework assignment tonight
