1. The link above is the chart of interior options for 1985
Capris. They use the term Sand Beige. Your best bet is to ALWAYS
request a carpet sample from the vendor and match it to an unfaded
piece of carpetting. Usually pulling up the seats or kick panel or
whatever will reveal a like new piece of carpetting. Pick whatever
vendor is closest. You may find that they all get their carpet from
the same place (ACC).
2. If by metroparts you mean www.MetroMustang.com, I didn't find
them very expensive. I bought 5 cans of paint/dye (with a can of
adhesion promoter) from them for almost the same price as
www.50resto.com. I have a sneaking suspicion that most places that
sell interior dye get it from metro mustang (every resto article in
the Mustang Monthly mags lists them as a vendor for all their
interior paint/dyes). The cans from 50resto's look the same as
Metro Mustang and the part number starts with "met"...hmmmm.
Anyways, I took a fairly decent kick panel and used Metro Mustang's
charcoal paint on the back and it was so damn close that I couldn't
even tell where I had painted the piece. Just make sure you get the
vinyl prep and adhesion promoter and follow all the directions
carefully. ***I would HIGHLY suggest you get a few TEST pieces like
I did and PRACTICE***. Also, SHAKE the cans TWICE as long as
recommended. The charcoal grey starts out BLACK if not shaken.
3. Not much help here. Sorry. Maybe, find a BMW dealer or
Mercedes dealer. I bet they can point you in the right direction.
I have seen some before and after photos of reconditioned leather
and it does look like alot can be done to bring back even really
worn leather.
