Did the '84 brochure have a good picture of the hood?

No. If you have the other COUPE brochure, then you also have the
1984 version. The sole difference is that the 1984's cover
states "MERCURY CAPRI ascMcLAREN COUPE" and Ford didn't wanna be
associated with the project, therefore thge 2nd printing
stated, "ascMcLAREN COUPE". Also the headrests on the cover and back
cover had the cloth-type mesh filling in the open area of the
upsidedown "U" of the headrests. BOTH brochures listed the Kenwood
Stereo and neither had the rear hatch mounted center stop light.
There was NO 1986 brochure. If memory serves, the rear lower corner
print dates were February 1985 and September 1984.
I have been very busy, and have not had a chance to get the photos
off in the mail, but will tryu to do so this weekend.
