a spam bot is a program created by spammers that seek and join clubs
groups or what ever and post spams repeadedly or just once depending
on how they were designed. as stated before, that sam message
probably appeared in 100's of the groups on the same day, maybe not
the same address because a bot will locate a block of address and
start using them up...ex hotbod1, hotbod2, hotbod3, and so on.
and a worm virus can attach or take anyones address it comes across
masking itself in someones in box as a friend. thankfully the
contents are usually very odd or contain an odd message along with
the attachment. this will clue you in most often. i have seen
several odd posts on this site from me that i didn't post, but it
usually has my email address as the sender instead of my yahoo id????
