I don't understand it either. Its not like you see asc wheels on
everyone elses car either.
The wheels probably tend to get a wobble over time. My Probe GT
Factory Chrome alloy wheels obtained a small vibration over time
that I could never get rid of. They needed to go to a shop and get
straightened or balanced correctly by a shop that either does it on
the car or by reworking the wheel with the tires on it.
What I really don't understand is what happens to the original
wheels. I mean, the person who switched them has to think "maybe it
may be a good idea to hang on to these for when I sell the car". It
knocks an easy $2k off the car since if you want to be correct, you
need to buy a set from Hank.
