Hi folk's, new guy here, glad i found this group, My name is, Dan Farenger I live in Sterling Heights,MI I have an 86 ASC Capri, 3.8L, #86-0236 plaque on the rear passenger clip,Auto,Convert,A/C, White/ext. Blue/Leather int, ASC McLaren stiched on the seat's just below the headrest, Blue rag,Cougar emblem on the center of the steering wheel, Wood grain panels, 60 inch BF.Goodrich Comp T/A's,with White rim's,solid black center cap's!! (missing 1) aughhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Figured I would introduce myself and my car first off before I asked any question's of the group, now having done that!!! Am I to assume that my vehicle is just an after market Capri? What I mean is, The drive train is just standard Mercury? The body was just altered by ASC? If I was to re-build( the drive train),and keep the car, would I do it according to the service manual? Second, Pic's will be available in a couple of week's, What do you think the car is worth? 42,165 Mi. Not a speck of rust on the body, Having talked to Sandy,(by phone and email), he said I have the 3rd vehicle of this type that he has found to exist. Believe me,I'm not thinking of selling the car,(at this time),just wondering what the fair market value would be!! (If it's not enough), I plan on re-builng the whole drive train,(to spec's) of course and holding on to it. Thank's for your time. Dan |
