Re: ebay Kenwood KRC-2001

I will pull out the manual for my new one tonight and see if I can
list its capabilities. I think you mentioned that the Alpine did
ETR but the Kenwood did not. I will look at the manual I have and
scan it in or type in the features. I think they are really very
much identical in features. If you have your ORIGINAL radio manual,
it would be nice to have you post your features as well.

I have learned that Alpine made 2 styles of the 7272. The Post
style is what is pictured in the brochures (at least it looks like a
7272, Alpine made ALOT of similar models):

Back when I was trying to get a radio, Hank sent me an Alpine 7272
with the post style. I returned it for a Kenwood.

However, I found out that Alpine made a LATER DIN style 7272. Here
is a pic of a blue asc coupe's (1986) radio on Hank's site:

It has more of a "graphic equalizer" slider style for the Bass and
Treble levels. On the post style you use the outer knobs to control
it.

Sandy, which style Alpine do you have? I'm guessing the '85s that
got an Alpine probably got the post style while a switchover occured
for the 1986 year.
