In all the Mercury lit I have not one picture shows an air dam on a Capri RS (or ANY Capri for that matter) until 1984. I was under the impression that it wasn't even available until then.
If the guy had one that looked like the asc one then it was one ordered from the asc "Sports Package" and attached to the Capri 1983 bumper cover.
