We all pretty much expect convertibles to leak. My 85 was no different but not horrible either. I never paid much attention to it as we do not get rain from April to October. After October, the car gets covered when not in use.

I can see the water damage at the right front lower door panel. Often I would find it wet on the floor. It's not the heater core, did that long ago. I looked at it today and found 2 simple issues.

First, I had a gap between the weather stripping and the windshield frame. Yes the header seal is old. It seems to have pulled back. Not sure where that water goes but it should be fixed. I filled in the gap with black silicone.

Second, the corner of the header seal was not touching the door window glass. There was an empty space between the header seal and the back corner of the windshield frame. I looked a round for a block of rubber to stick in there. In ended up with a folded over piece of black duct tape. It seems to work great.

I thought I would post these simple fixes. Let me see if I can add photos.
