I moved to a smaller house last fall and have too many projects for the space that I have.

There were emergency release cables for both the trunk and tonneau cover in case the battery was dead. They were located in the storage boxes in the package shelf. In my 85, the trunk is on the drivers side and the tonneau cover is on the passenger side. The cable has a loop on the end to make it ...

From what I remember the cars were ordered black unless a blue interior was needed. Ford's ordering system would choke on Black/Blue combo so those cars were ordered in white instead

I talked to Sandy on the phone the first time in around 1998 soon after he had setup his ASC McLaren page on Webspawner. He sent me a typewriter typed document with Capri and ASC McLaren information to help me correct some of the info that I had on my website that I had started a couple of years ...

Im not sure that the freestar was actually a ford product. The ford Windstar in the mid to late 90s was actually a rebadged Nissan quest with a few ford interior options, but mechanically was Nissan.

Actually, that was the Mercury Villager http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_Villager. My brother ...

Not being the the same factory makes sense...

The Turbocoupe Sport seats are the same, just better quality upholstery and the headrest. I have a set in both my McLaren and my 79 Coupe. I am even sitting in one right now that I converted into a chair for my computer.

Tom

The 87-88 Turbo Coupe coupe had blue sport seats. If they procured the headrests, why not the whole seat?

Congrats to the both of you. Sounds like you are doing it right. :D

My wife and I share the same anniversary as the two of you, but ours was our 1st. I will be a happy man when I'm celebrating my 28th with my bride.

It's the second sticker that torks me off. I was at a Mustang show a couple of years back and a local dealer had a couple of new Shelby's on display with an 'Adjusted Market Value' sticker with a $25,000 markup on it. That was almost like paying for both a Mustang GT and the Shelby, but only get to ...

Cougar? It had a formal roof line which would have been an easy conversion.

Merkur XR4Ti could have been another option, but its quirky styling may have not made for an attractive convertible.

As I thought... I found a Ford Sierra conversion. It quite doesn't look right.

It would have had to been a very, very early 86 since I quit that job in June of 1985. My guess is it was and 84 or 85 that someone bought back East and brought it to the Seattle area when it wasn't very old. It wasn't in the auction, someone drove it there to attend it.
