Which car cover should I buy?

I need a good car cover for my 85 Convertible, does anyone know if a exact fit cover is made for the Mclaren convertibles?

I bought a WOLF brand, and it's very nice! I ordered it for a Mustang Convertible & it's a near perfect fit. It has really strong elastic that fits under the fron & rear bumper covers and came with a storage bag. I would reccomend it. Down side is that it's a pebbled grain cloth/plastic and cannot go into a dryer. Therefore it's going to dirty - real dirty - if used outdoors. Mine is indoors.

If outdoors you are better off to buy a cheap cheap one. They are usually a thin cloth weave. Those you can put in a commercil washing machine & a commercial dryer, and they come out beautiful ! If for outside, I'd get that & save $$$.

slightly off topic but what is a good asc coupe one?

I have a california car cover and I think it's for a Mustang GT but doesn't fit since the bubble and wing are bigger than a Mustangs.

My coupe is covered with one for a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix. The car my wife had, prior to the Cherokee. It fits the McLaren Coupe, but it hangs down on the sides to the floor.

Mike, My sister bought me a car cover for my Eurocoupe for Christmas and it fits good and also has a place for the antenna. The brand is a Budge, Group 4. It is also machine washable. She bought it at Wal-mart.

I did a search on an 85 Capri Vert at JC Whitney and they have a wide selection of tops from indoor, outdoor, to interior covers that cover just the interior of a convertible, and so on. Prices are from $7.99-$779.

Here's the link:

I have a Covercraft cover on my GT350...It actually came with the last car I bought and was new in the box. I thought it would help protect the car from rain and all but apparently the are not waterproof huh?

My car keeps getting soaked under the cover...it dries off quick but not what
I had in mind.

I guess I will need to invest in an outdoor one if they make one?

I think its this one..but have to check again

You do not want a "waterproof" cover. It must breathe, or you will kill the car with rust.

One of those breatheable covers should do the trick. They are made for outside, and will get the car wet in a soaking rain, but will then let the water evaporate.

Shiny Side Up!

Hmmm...yeah, the 82 Mustang GT one might fit the bill as the 82 GT has probably the biggest air dam of all the cars.

I was thinking a Saleen one for an 86 would work. They used their own air dam and had that big whale tail.

I have the CoverCraft Noah on my 86', I last washed and used the car in September 06' when then I covered/winterized the car. I took the car out of hibernation this month and to my amazement the car looked as if I washed it 1 day ago. I even drove the car that day and everyone thought I just washed it.
The cover breathes and keeps the car dry. They even make this cover exactly to fit the unique shape of our cars. The price was well worth it for the performance it offers.

I just checked on http://www.CoverCraft.com and didn't see a specific cover made for the Mclaren convertible. Could you do me a favor and check your cover to see if there is a part number on it anywhere?

Ill look for it, but for now this is who i bought it from. I first emailed him then spoke to him on the phone. I gave him the info on the car as well as a few photos and he got back to me with the part # and price. Nice guy to deal with.

Your black Capri is beautiful ! I just saw the pics for the 1st time.

Questions....

Are they the original seats ?
Am I correct in that you added the hood scoop, the rear spoiler, the rear deck ascMcLaren emblem and the wheels ? Yes, or No ?
