The cars were all made FROM Ford {Mercury} that were earmarked to become the SC 2-Seat Roadster, were FORD BUILT as follows:
Dealer/Retail Buyer choice of 3.8 V-6 engine or 5.0 V-8 Engine
The 3.8 Six was ONLY available with the Automatic Transmission
The 5.0 V-8 came with a 5-Speed manual, but the Automatic was
an available option.
Power Steering, Brakes, Windows, & Door Locks
Tilt Wheel and Tinted Windshield (A Fleet Item)
Am Fm Stereo was standard.
The option was Am Fm Stereo with Cassette &
Premium Audio System.
Speed Control was an option.
Air Conditioning was an Option (Yes, I was wrong. 4-give me)

The Atlantic Blue, Paris Blue & Sterling Silver units, IF ordered UNsold, by a dealer, they were "Spring Specials" ~ but only for the dealer, not the buyer! The Performance Decor Group was added to the car, and was priced on the window sticker, at $1,765.00 (I think, from memory) ~ ~ However...... it was NO CHARGE on the dealer's invoice.
An Atlantic Blue, Paris Blue or Sterling Silver car withOUT the Performance Decor Group, was ordered FOR a WAITING CUSTOMER, who did NOT want it !!
Tomorrow, maybe I'll do the Dealer Info Sheet on the 1986 COUPE.
