Found out about the wood trim by stereo

I spoke with Hank Huisman tonight and asked him about the wood trim around the stereo, to match the wood trim around the info center below the stereo. Hank says that is the way the 1984 & 1985s came. They had the Am Fm Stereo Delete and ascMcLaren fitted them with an aftermarket premium stereo with Cassette, and the wood went around their background and was OEM ascMcLaren installed. Not wanting to be bothered with warrantee returns, in 1986 they switched to getting the cars with the factory Ford Am Fm Stereo/Cassette, and that piece of wood would no longer fit the application.
Ifanyone has a 84 or 85 and needs this piece, Hanks has them. If you 85 is a late build (from ascMcLaren) you might have a pull-ahead Ford Premium Stereo, and then cannot use it.

Yup! :?: :cry: 41 hours sleep lost ! Christmas woulda been my Dad's 100th birthday. He missed it by 20 years. Kind of sad day, and our son was invited to a Xmas party in Phila., Pa, so he's there, now. Wife & I are all alone. This could be good :lol: or bad :cry:
I guess we'll have out annual fight!
