asc coupes

Post by hsean »

i was at a ford show here in livonia, michigan and i noticed something very unique on the 85 capri mclaren coupe quarter windows. they had a tinted plexiglass that was even with the sail panel.i thought this looked great and i never noticed these before.i always loved these cars but there never any around because of their rarity .the one i saw today is a work in progress and needs alot of work i wonder if hank sells these windows as well and how hard would it be to install on a regular foureye.

The ones hank sells are reproductions, he should have some for along time.

You will need the frame for each side which comes in 2 parts. Then you need the plexiglass and the weatherstripping.

Did you notice the sail panel blackouts as well? You could get those too.

Drill and rivet or sheet screws, I'm not sure. That holds the frame on. Then the plexiglass slides in with the weatherstripping.

The sail panel blackouts are just epoxied on.

I think Hank sends sheet metal screws with the frames. I had to countersink mine.

The oems I think were just rivets. I don't think they were the rivnuts. Honestly I don't know though as I never took the originals off my car.

Call him. Ask him for the complete quarter window blackout for both sides. Ask him for his best price and pray he's been having a good day :D

Honestly, I doubt I ever asked him the cost. It was more like, I need A B C and here's my card. I let the credit company will deliver the bad news.

On the plus side, he's really nice and genuinely wants to help these cars.

Mike. I wonder, do you really know how true this statement is ? I do. (and) I hope you do. When he heard I was fighting the almost unfightable and it was my birthday, I got a wonderful surprise from Hank. He has an oft forgotten quality, called compassion !
