DO YOU WORRY ABOUT MICE ?

The Mouse Allergy
Rodents and especially mice are allergic to oil of peppermint and will not frequent a property where they can smell it. Place a few drops of oil on a piece of cotton and place it anywhere you feel there is a mice problem. You will never see a mouse again. Use only “real” peppermint oil, not peppermint extract. Mice are also allergic to campho and pine tar.

Killer Mashed Potatoes
If you leave a bowl of potato flakes and a small bowl of water where the mice can get to them, they will eat the flakes and drink the water. The flakes will expand in their stomach and their stomachs will bust killing them.

I feel your pain. I only have to walk downstairs to see mine though.
Probably makes it worse though. I store my corn and wood pellets down there also, so I look at it twice a day when I need to fill the stove.

Next week is supposed to be around fifty here so I was thinking maybe she needs a run around the block. :)

Or not. :(

I HAVE EVERYTHING IN STORAGE, except wife's 2001 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4X4 wagon - that we are now sharing! (& it is filthy -- by my standards "just a little dirty" by others standards.....(work horse)

http://images2.fotki.com/v14/photos/4/4 ... eep-vi.jpg

Found heaven on earth storage. Heated (and Air Conditioned & Dehumidified , alarmed, hard wired to both police & fire Depts. 4 miles from home, electric overhead door, all plank polished wood flooring, hidden at the end of a narrow little road. All brick, slate roof, interior concrete walls. Reasonable for what you get. $125 @ month per car. I had the same - in another location, paying $ 335 @ month, for just 1 car ! Now, I have 3 in this new place, for $450 a month. One stored at home (free) in other side of garage and another around the block, for $ 75 @ month. No heat.

It's new Jersey, where everything is either
1) Expensive
2) Very Expensive
3) Outta this world expensive
OR
4) Causes bankruptcy !

I know, it is just wishful thinking.

I actually need to change my T.O. bearing before it is driven. Not only that, I just remembered it doesn't have the new stickers yet.(I do this so it CAN'T be driven during the winter)

Check with the rules at M.V. to see if any "consideration" is given for any "Special" Vehicle.) Here in NJ if you have a "Collector car" ((no specif description of what means ""collector car "")) then you only have to go every 3rd year, rather than every year. You might have the same ?

This is something I was considering, I think there are restrictions on how much the vehicle can be driven though.

Depending upon where you are in Wisconsin, I think you more than likely have 75% LESS traffic on the roads. and far less "fender benders" !
Here in New Jersey, every time ya go out you'll see an accident. When I do that them out, it's just for "exercise" and bnetween May & September on a Sunday morning around 6 or 7 AM when there is little traffic. Cuts the risk factor.70% of the people drive disposable little Japanese cars here,
Use 'em Abuse 'em and trade 'em in every 4th year.

I live just south of Madison in a small town. But the problem here is the same, too many idiots on the road that don't watch where they are going. Just this morning I was almost hit by some moron would didn't look before pulling out of his driveway. I hit my brakes and stopped in front of him, then the idiot tries to pull out anyway, almost hitting me while I was sitting in front of him. I was only about five feet from the front of his minivan. I could have gotten out knocked him out.

Just about everyday someone pulls out in front of me from store parking lot or something.

I avoid Madison as much as I can especially with #108. I have to work up there most of the time but I avoid the main beltline as much as possible.

Most people on the beltline drive 70 in the 55 even in the snow. They usually slow down to 45 when it is raining though, go figure.

My rant is done.

Well there is no way I can go for a ride now. She's up in the air waiting to get the tranny pulled for the T.O. bearing swap.

I did notice a bad rust spot at the front of the drivers floor pan(right on the inner corner of the trans tunnel) that will need to fixed. :( It's not all the way through yet but it wouldn't be long. So since it's up in the air I will get that fixed too.

Other than that she is pretty clean.
