does anyone know where to get the info for an 86

i have a 86 mercury asc mclaren capri coupe. and i am in the process to making it look good. but when i got the car it didnt have the number badge on the dash i was wondering if any one knew where i could the the number of my car and where i can get a new badge with the number on it.

If it's a EuroCoupe Edition, it is not supposed to have a Dash Plaque #

If it IS a Full-Packaged Model - then it is to have a Dash Plaque #

If you give me your last 6 digits of your Serial # I can check to see if it is a EuroCoupe or a Full Packaged model and if so...what number it was !

Your car is "Smoke Grey Metallic" ((same as mine!!)) and was # 019 made.
It was received at ascMcLaren on November 26th of 1985 ~ and shipped out on December 13th (MY BIRTHDAY) of 1985! It's a full packaged 1986, not a EuroCoupe.

Options? Available on it were:

Pop Up manual Sun Roof
T-Roof
Automatic Transmission
Power Door Locks & Hatch Release
Only in combo with Automatic a 3.73:1 Axle Ratio

18 out of the 114 Coupes (full packaged) were Smoke Grey Metallic, a new color for 1986. Does it look like this??

Those are typically missing because of front/rear end accidents. Plus curbs take out 95% of them as well since they sit so low. They are also made from unflexible plastic and crack as soon as they hit a curb.

those curbs jump out of no where. no i dont have the power door locks. and i dont have the hatch release. the previous owner broke them off pulling them into and out of his barn. do you know where i could get the lower body kit pieces?

Hi, Yes I do! Just live for the summer. And car shows .The car club that I'm in has two shows , here in Perkasie .Plus we do a cruise night each month in Quakertown . There are also other shows in the area that I go to, as long as the weather is good . I'll admit it, I'm a puss ,when it come to bad weather and my car.Got too much time spent cleaning my vert. Plus ,I love to have that top down. Take care, see ya.
