A little off topic, but nice.

Sometimes people ask me "Why do you always buy Lincolns, and get your McLarens serviced at the Lincoln, Mercury,Ford dealer, at 10 miles from home?"

Well...tonight they had a an open house party, in the showroom, for their owners of cars bought there. Of course, I was invited. It was catered, with fresh fruits and vegis, and cheeses, and people to serve you and wine, and soda, and fruits and sandwiches, and white & Red wines, and huge cheese platters and cookies & pasteries. It was really nice to talk person-to-person with the employees, most all of which I've known for years, as well to get a little personal with the newER ones. It was a nice evening in a relaxed atmosphere with the friends that have sold me & taken care of my 3 Lincolns and 3 McLarens that I have owned dating back to 1986.

The ones that know me a bit better grouped up in a private room and called me over the loudapeaker to come there with Karen (My wife of 25 years) and they raised their glasses high and toasted me and the progress I've made battling this wicked, unrelenting illnes, called
Cancer. I teared up. I was over-come by this. It really meant alot to me. We stayed a bit, I got my usual pack of current brochures and it was pouring rain and we left.
The cookies were homemade and THE best cookies I ever ate.
The owner finally showed up and he & I spoke and he gave me a coupon for a free oil change & filter, on any car, at any time, and thanked me for my years of dedication to his company. It was a really nice evening on a showroom floor.
Just a really nice group of very friendly & dedicated people.

That's the proper way to treat loyal customers. Many more Sandy!
