'85 McLaren Coupe on FEP

Post by 02z06 »

I'm sure that most people who post here also keep an eye out over there, but I figured it was worth passing along:

Why can't it be an '86?

sure sounds like a clean car...

but 5500 is a bit steep for it needing most of the asc parts. missing floormats headlight and tail light covers radio radar detector and rear valance. thats like 2000-2500 worth of parts that are missing IF you can find them.

Yeah, but it has quite a bit left on it. Front and side valences, steering wheel, orange wheels, foglights, and more.

If it was an 86, it would already be heading to one of our garages, possibly mine. :)

I saw that. Do you know the car? I'm curious what the drivetrain and paint look like, as well as how complete it is.

Greg is an admin over at FEP. A totally straight shooter. Just ask him anything about it.

This is the car that was up in Michigan or Illinois that Frank Ross owned.

I looked. I like it - a clean car.

Was gonna post & compliment it - but I am not registered over there.
I am allready on too many sites......

I wish Springtime would hurry up - I wanna take all of mine out, for a 8 miles ride. A new, perfecly smooth no pot hole road., before PSE & G come & cut it up !

I take them to the town's center that I live in. From my house to the center is a mile & a half. 3 miles each, round trip. Our center has a BIG car show in the center from 6PM until 9PM from the first Wednesday in June to the First Wednesday in Sept. (Every Wednesday). I've had them all there at one time or another. The 3 Macs, the Caddy 60 Spcl. and when I owned it, the pink Lincoln.

I don't like too much driving the 25th Annaiversary McLaren, as it has 8,300 miles on it. I bought it outta the New Hampshire Auto Museum and the prior owner used it a little. It had 7,000 miles when i bought it, in 2002, so he did like 580 miles a year, in it - but, he kept it up to "Sandy Specs" A.K. A. Showroom, period.

C'mon Sandy cruise that 86 down to Bucks County for a photo-shoot with my 86. We'll line them up and do burnouts next to each other...would make for a nice shot! 8)

I love Buck's County. I only know certain sections, and I have gotten VERY lost down there. Is Schooleys Mountain still there?

That's why God invented GPS! They're dirt cheap now. Bought a rudimentary one for my boat in 1997 for over $1000. Now, the one in may car makes cappuccino and cost $150.
