PLEASE READ REGARDING PULL DOWN MOTOR

Post by Sandy »

[/b]People, listen to "Father Sandy" :)
TO AVOID this nasty problem............

When you are putting the convetible top UP....
You have to be standing ON the driver side, right? ! YES !
Your left hand is ON the button, behind the driver's seat, right? YES!

Place your right hand's FINGERS under the hem (the bottom of the material) under the area of the small plastic window closest to YOU!

When you FEEL the top getting SNUG upon your fingers.... LET-GO-OF-THE-BUTTON !!!!!!!! As in S-T-O-P !!!!!!!

ALWAYS & FOREVER, LEAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO ROLL A STANDARD PENCIL UNDER IT !!!!!

THEN YOU WILL NEVER EVER NEED TO GO THRU THIS COST, INCONVIENCE AND TOTAL FRUSTRATION !!!
WHEN YOU HOLD THE BUTTON DOWN UNTIL THE HEM OF THE ROOF IS NICE & TIGHT UPON THE TONNEAU COVER. THE MOTOR CAN AND WILL EITHER FREEZE OR BREAK !!!

SHOLD YOUS GET STUCK, AND (AND IS KEY WORD HERE) YOU HAVE LEFT YOURSELF THE ROOM TO PUSH THE SWITCH THE OTHER WAY, AS IN TO TIGHTEN IT DOWN ONTO THE TONNEAU, THAT WILL FREE IT, TO WORK, BUT IF YOU HAVE LEFT YOURSELF NO WIGGLE ROOM YOU ARE STUCK.
Sandy passed away in 2012. He will be forever missed.
