This Monday, 2 days from now, I am due for my regulary scheduled Chemo Infusion. THAT is about the ONLY thing that will be "regular" about it. My Cancer Doctor is kicking me up, a notch (or two) and adding in a drug that I had just once before. This drug mkes one "dog-sick" ~
Last time (the only other time I had it - which was like 14 months ago,)
I learned what hell-on-earth really was....
SOooo, I am getting this, again, this Monday. It's is brutal. The effects last a week, well, if I am lucky, 6 days. There is a chance that I will not be able to think clearly enough to type, and/or think coheirantly.
So, If I am asked a question and I do not reply, you will understand.
Also, I may be totally missing from here, so I am telling & explaining why .
I do not know the correct spelling of this poison, but I can spell it phoenetcally > OX-SALLY-PLATINUM

It feels like an OX back-kicked ya in th stomach and Sally fed ya liquid platinum!.

This will be the 1st infusion that I am afraid of.
My Dr said that I stopped improving (I always showed improvement, each & every time), But, he said that I stopped improving like 6 weeks ago, so he wants to try & kick-start it.
:puke: :poke :smash:

If one has never had Ox-Sally-Platinum, then one goes into it with a decent outlook.

BUT....If ya ever have had Ox Sally Platinum, you ain't never ever gonna 4-get her !!!!!!!! She sets a Roman Candle off in your tummy.

Then, your rear end strongly objects, and gets 'vocal" about it.

Your brain, on overload, blows a fuse, making you all mixed up & calling in the headache team.

Food? Eat? You even SHOW me food and and and I'll  you!

Sleep is good. Alot of it. Maybe like 12 hours. It's an escape from
a very hot place with your hosts being red men with long pitchforks, and long tails.

I only consume very cold ice water and / or fereezing cold cola.

I live on bananas for 2 days. Then I hope I can resume eating light meals. It does NOT take effect 1-2-3. I get enought time to drive home (20 minute ride) and eat a little something, like toast and or cake or bananas. I WILL SURVIVE

Would you mind if a bunch of Christians prayed for you?

You have gone thru hell on earth. I have to admire your fighting spirit.

Bless you, Sandy!

OY VEY - Why on earth would I even entertain such a thought?
Such a thought would never, ever enter my head.

Listen. I attended a Roman Catholic Church and a Methodist Church for a few Sundays way back when I was in my mid-teens to late teens.
I wanted to experence what I was not exposed to. I wanted to make up my mind.

A religious person, is a good person, no matter what the teachings are, or aren't.

What I like best,in my religion, is how Hebrew Law teaches us to raise our offspring. I followed it to the letter, and it has paid off more than I could have ever prayed for.

I am a very open minded person. There are good & bad in all cultures.

To reply to your question...... I WOULD BE FOREVER HONORED !!
I am even honored in your asking the question.

Now then. I have a Priest that comes looking for me, when I am in there.
He comes with a Rabbi !!! I introduced them to one & other !

When I was in my private recovery room from my 3.5 hour surgery to remove the cancerous section of my desending colon, in walks a Priest. He was looking for the man who had been in my room, before me.
I told him that man was discharged. So, then he wanted to give me prayer. I was a bit uneasy, at that point, and I wanted to let him know who I be ~ So, I told him that I am Jewish. He said, that's fine. He held my hand and said a "general" (one size fits all) Prayer. He continued to visit me, daily & of courze he ran into my Rabbi, so I introduced them to one & other.
This was in 2007 !! Today, they are still friends, and can be seen in the Cafe, in the hospital, sharing tea / coffee and talking religion. (and) I introduced them to one & other !!

So, then, maybe that gives you a little insight on whom I am.
How I feel
How I look at people.
If you know me - then you also know my parents, as I am them!
and) Our Son, Matthew, is ME! (But is by far a greater achiever than I .

Sandy, God Bless. Hopefully you are a wee bit more immune to the effects of this drug and it wont be as bad this time. Good luck.
