DATED TAGS

Post by U-MAN »

HI! Well this past weekend, I got around to installing new seat belts in my 'vert. As I was following the instructions to the letter. I had gotten them off of Henry's site. So... after I had gotten the box and tub assy. out of the way. I started to look around in there, at a few points I found tags. There were four that I found, About 1/2" by 2 ", they were dated and initialed. Don't know if this a "QA" tag or a work done tag? Has anyone else come across this type of tag before? OH YES... Let me say, not a lot of room to work in there !

I had my tub assembly out on my '86 a couple of years ago to replace the trunk release cable. You're right, not much room, especially for someone who is 6'-4"! I didn't see any tags, but I did find a crescent wrench that someone at ASC had left in there.

I posted my steps for replacing that cable with a few helpful hints. I asked if anyone had noticed a drainage hole in the passenger side tub with rubber tube going out the bottom and through the floor boards. Didn't get any responses that anyone else had noticed this. Did you have that by any chance? Just curious. My best guess is some kind of cooler, but since there is no insulation I'm not so sure about that.

Well you can rest easy now, For I also have the drain tube. But I didn't run it back through the floor. Just coiled it up and plugged the hole. There is still a lot to learn about these cars we have. Thanks for the reply.
