Under Hood insulation??

So, I ordered a new under hood insulation for my 86 Capri--got the Mustang one.

Of course, it doesn't fit. The cur-outs are all in the wrong places. Does anyone have a source for Capri insulation?

I'm about to cut this one to match my old one, but I was wondering if I could just find the right one.

What you want is the 79-82 Mustang underhood insulation. If you can find it. Maybe they reproduce it now.

The stuff they are making is supposed to be for 79-93. I didn't think to look for the older stuff specifically..

Wish I would have asked before I bought it..

79-93? None of that is the same.

79-82
83-86
87-93

All different.

Capri was the same from what I can tell from 79-86.

Yeah, I went back and looked, You're right-- I guess I assumed that they were the same.

It's looking like I'll have to just poke new holes and cut new cut-outs for the one I got. I can make it work, the cut-outs on it are in the wrong places, but I can put them back in and make it happen..

By the way, the new 'plain' ones they sell have a 'skin' on the hood side of the insulation. It is like a spun fiberglass layer that is AWFUL! I got little sharp pieces of fiberglass EVERYWHERE! They hurt!!
