WTB: mesh rims

Post by 86EuroCoupe »

I am looking for a set of ASC rims or equivelant for my EuroCoupe. I have the original orange rims and they are in terrible shape. I know they can be bought new but the price seems a little steep. I would just like a set of used orange, white or black rims that I can use until I can afford to get the car back to its original state. The car currently has a set of ROH rims on it that I have to give back to the previous owner in the spring. If you can help me out let me know. Thanks. Rich mercap79rs@aol.com

Hi Rich, welcome to the group. I am confused! Have you checked into local wheel repair shops? Are the ASC wheels beyond repair? I would think it would be cheaper to send the originals out and have them refinished than to pay for a temporary set of replacements. Since the ROH's are not due back until Spring, the refinished ASC's would probably be ready in 4 to 6 weeks. Just a thought...

Good luck and post some pictures when you get a chance!

It's about ~$180 per wheel to get them restored. Talk to a competant wheel restorer. If they are bent, then they might be unsaveable....but if they just suffer from curb scrubs and bad paint..they can be restored to better than new condition....seriously.
