Hello all.
I have my Mclaren home now and have been working on it. Cleaning it ut and piesing the parts i have togeather and sand off the black spray bomb to find the real condition og the body. It is not that bad. I found redish orange paint under the black. It is a different color or shade than then engine compartment and iterior jamming. My first question is did ASC repaint these cars after recieving them from Ford?

Next when fitting the top frame work i notice hole torched in various spots and the frame work were the top bolts to the car has been cut out. It appears this cat was used for racing and had at least a 6 point cage in it. Does anybody have or can show me pics of the frame work welded in for the top and front tanauo (spelling?)latch assembly?

While cleaning out the trunk I found two hydro cylinders and am unsure what they are for. As I remember my friends brothers Mclaren it had a manual roof. Did they all have manual tops or shoud it be power?

I am ending this post now and am going to post the pic I have of the car, please take a look and give me your oppinoins many heads are better than just mine

None had power tops & yes ascMcLaren repainted them all !!
