These seats look very similar to the Capri Coupe seats (gray without the red piping). The main difference I see is that they don't have the pull out knee bolster.

I had an '89 Escort GT too. They're very different, but have that "corporate resemblance" look that lets you know they're related.

Just get the upholstery from FMR. He has it in very closely matching material. You just need to ask for the grey piping.

If you really want correctness, call SMS and get the correct fabric and have an upholsterer redo the seats.

I think FMR even offers a leather option in grey. Wish that had been an option in the 80s! I almost swapped into SVO seats way back for the leather and the excellent design.
