and leather Seats
nice ASC 1985 4sale
This one is on ebay again. Back in July the auction ended with a winning bid of $5,300; now the same seller is listing it with an opening bid of $7K. Hmmmm.

It's not clear if the side skirts and replacement air dam are included - in some pics they are on the car and in others they're not.
The leather low-back vert seats are interesting. Seems like I've seen that on a coupe somewhere else before...

A nice and original ASC Mclaren Coupe. So say the seller.
There is very little on that car that is original !
Rims?
Seats?
Motor?
Tranny?
Stereo?
Tires?
Mats?
It did not sell because it's overpriced.
It's a $3,800.00 ascMcLaren

The fox mustangs were one of the most modifiable cars in the world.
Third party companies came out of the wood-work with parts for the motor, body, etc.
Most young people (including myself back in the day) bought motor parts, stereos, etc. and changed these cars as they were sooooo easy to extract more horsepower from or change the look.
The car's (79-93) run parts were very easily interchanged, so people who had a capri, but wanted a spoiler could simply change hatches, or change fenders, or the badly spoken of face-lift change. If you had a 79-86, but wanted the popular and new looking (at the time) 87-93 front end, you could make that change fairly easy as well.... I knew a gentlman years ago (who worked at texas coast mustang) who wanted to keep his capri, but could not find a bumper-cover had no choice (at the time) but to find a mustang front end to use.
Most people did not buy the 5.0s thinking about keeping them for value later. After all, Ford made hundreds of thousands of these cars and they could be had cheap and could be made stronger in HP for very little money.
It was a double-edge sword. It helped us keep our favorite cars alive and also caused a state of devaluation years later....

I have had some communication with the guy. The first buyer backed out at $5300.00. He claims there are more 'upgrades' to the car now.
PS: I won't be buying anything for a while. Bought a new Ford Expedition today. And, Sandy, you'll love this: Got home after a 5 hour romp with friends and found I had ALL the keys to my trade in, in my pocket! Of course, they left a few messages on my answering machine!!

Jason, I know & I understand all of that, and it's all okay. But, just don't represent a car as "all original" - when it is not.
Ken, they were afraid that you would come back at midnight and grab your trade-in.
Yes, it has been done !!!
