As many of you know, I am almost done restoring my mclaren coupe. This has been fun and sometimes not so fun. But, after driving it to Tasca Day at New England Dragway on Saturday, I am truly happy I went through all this. The car was such a pleasure to drive. Here are a few pics for those that havent followed the build on foureyedpride. I could not have complted this in such a short time without all the help from my new friends and old friends who helped me out with different things.
Bought in May 2010. Thats the first pic and the last is from this Past saturday. I mostly only have the rear ground effects and the stripes to finish up. I will detail the engine compartment over the winter.

I figure by the numbers there were about 6-8 black ones with sunroofs spec'd like mine. Possibly less without cruise and power locks, too.
Where did you see it. I have tried with no luck to find out where this car came from. Its been in Massachusetts since at least 1993.

I tried here locally in Michigan, even going to Autry to find one. I had an '85 that had been stolen in May, '86, so I spent a lot of time around there since I grew up about ten miles away.
There were very, very few sunroof cars and I had to go all the way to Northtowne in KC to get #23. ASC paid for my flight out.
I didn't like the grey/orange so ASC swapped the stripes for free, provided I bought the wheels for $200. Went with silver and did that deal in the Spring of '87. Kinda had people thinking I had three coupes for a bit....
