I inquired about seeing the car. The response "why didn't you ask when it was on Craig's List?"

Seems a strange response to a local interested party with cash....

Looks like it met the reserve. I would've liked to see it and bid on it, but I wasn't about to jump through hoops and apologize for not buying it off Craig's List to do it.

A 5K reserve is a long way from the $8500 he was last asking on Craigslist.

It was advertised on Craigslist several years ago for 10K...I still have a printout of the ad at my office.

I probably would have offered more than the auction brought IF I had seen it....

And that assumes the auctions goes through.

And the winner only two buys in twelve months? I look for a fall through. Sold for $6050.

Again, not a number that would have scared me if he'd allowed me, a local buyer, to come see it when I asked.

It is an AWESOME car.

But that '86 isn't a prototype. Maybe a circuit car that a little extra was added to for showing, but not a prototype.

Agreed, always a bad sign. We'll see this car listed again soon. I'd give that much for it too. Cool car to play with.

Once upon a time, I was a 'Zero' bidder. Now I have over 100 items purchased over Ebay. 4 of them have been cars. well 3 cars and 1 SUV. 80 Corvette L82, 65 Thunderbird, 86 ASC and 1997 Expedition. Happy with all of them.
