Subject: Rear Hatch Spoiler for 84-86 COUPE

Oh 'ya there's a H-U-G-E market!!! Tons of guys withOUT asc/McLaren
Coupes are puttin'on their 83 thru 86 Capri RS & GS Hatchbacks, as
they are THE ONLY spoiler EVER MADE, that fits these cars!!!!!!!
They, along with the side ground effects of all asc/McLarens 1984
thru 1990 and from air dams of the Mercury Capris 1986 with the Sport
Appearance Group and the rear spoilers of the 1987 - 1990 Mustang
asc/McLarens were all made by A & A Specialties, of Placenta,
California, under contract from American Sun Roof Corp. ASC shiped
them the molds, and they made them, and shipped them back to Livonia,
Michigan. At the end of the run in late 1990, or early 1991 all of
the original molds were gently placed into the dumpster! They are
all gone. If yours is in absolute flawless, concours, showroom
condition, hospital clean, you might wanna investagate the
possibility of visiting a tool & dye shop in your area (you are
LOADED with 'em) and see what's involved in making them. It's 17
years since the last ones were made (1986 + 17 = 2003) so I think the
patent (if there ever was one) is about to expire!
From my telephone calls and emails I can tell you the demand is
absolutely there! The market is now bringing $400.00 for one that is
totally complete, with all pieces of matching hardware, and the
spoiler is flawless.
