This is from CNN, and will be on Talk-Back Live tonight on CNN.
King George has gone tooooooooooo f - - - - - g far this time. He and him
minions are about to establish a KGB, Gestapo or a Stazi in America. In
times of a perceived emergency or a boogey man at the door, it is all to
common for a people to surrender liberties for some to have a warm fuzzy
feeling, but this is not constitutional, and it is most certainly NOT the
America I know, love, and have defended.
It is time to remind this man that he is only the temporary occupant on
America's house, and that it is not a double wide on some Texas scrub land.
We are a free people, and the government does not have the right to make it
otherwise. If we are attacked by an outside force, we can respond. If an
inside informants group is compiling data on Americans, we will not be able
to see it or fight it.
RESIST!!!!!
SOLIDARITY UNDER OPPRESSION!!
1984?
The Bush administration wants to recruit letter carriers, utility workers,
and others whose jobs allow them access to private homes into a contingent
of organized government informants. The Terrorism Information and Prevention
System (Operation TIPS) is a national pilot program scheduled to start next
month with a million informants. The program will allow volunteers who have
jobs that position them to recognize suspicious activities to report the
activities to the Justice Department. The Justice Department will then enter
the information to into a database. According to the government website
www.citizencorps.gov , "this broad network of volunteer efforts will harness
the power of the American people by relying on their individual skills and
interests to prepare local communities to effectively prevent and respond to
the threats of terrorism, crime, or any kind of disaster." However, some
civil liberty groups are alarmed. The ACLU say that the administration
should not allow TIPS to become "an end run around the constitution." What
are your thoughts?
