I have a good front bumper from an '86 Capri, but it is brown. I purchased the entire brown car planning on dropping in a 512 CID big block in front of a C6, and changing the color to white, which is a great hassle as you know.
Then I discovered a white '86 5.0 Capri, which is the same color as my '86 Mclaren Conv, that I bought sans engine but with everything else in place for $300.00. Then I parted out the brown '86. I am restoring the Mclaren, and still plan on the big block swap into the white Capri, followed by a paint job and trim to make it look similar to the Mclaren. Then I will put a small sign on one back corner of the Capri that reads, 'Not a 5.0 Mustang." It will be on the street lurking for things GM on occasion.
I would consider parting with the brown bumper for a little consideration if a dedicated Mclaren owner really needed it.
