Subject: Falcons and Capris

I've been all over the place looking for parts for this 85 ASC Coupe
that I have and I can't help but feel a bit of Deja Vue.

Finding Capri specific parts, like bumper covers and such that were
not available on the Mustang of the same year is just about as
exasperating (maybe not QUITE so much) as finding body trim and such
for the old 1965 Falcon Ranchero my Dad picked up when I was in HS.

The Falcon was the precurser to the mustang and as such most
everything from the mustang (glass, engine, etc) will work just fine
in the Falcon. But finding those interior and body trim peices is a
pain inna rear.

The '70 Mustang convertible we "restored" for my mom was like a
weekend project. Straighten the body, paint it, then open the
Mustang catalog and order anything you needed to finish the job.

I'll be glad when I'm done and can drive this thing again. Still
got a few more peices to go...Anybody got any lower blacked out
chrome molding for the windshield :-)

BTW, Falcon Rancheros rock, nothing like a really cool mid 60's
pickup to tool around in, going to junk yards, looking for parts.
Plus nobody has ever seen one and you gets lotsa questions, kinda
like ASCs :-)
