Body:
Just a short reply, Mr. Smith. ALL people have sensitive zones. That is in other words, something or some topic that either hits home, or they have been repeatidly burned over. Allow me to stray way off topic, just once. I was an automobile salesman for 27 years. I worked darn hard & never had an evening OR a Saturday "off". I treated my customers fairly. I also treated them with the respect they deserved. If they treated me in a degrading way, I simply threw them out. I did very well, in a crummy & very competitive and downright hard, sometimes impossible business. I won awards. I had a very high repeat customer base. When I got "burned out" and sick of the dummies coming in, I removed myself from the business. Period. Yet, outside of the showroom, I was looked down upon, and the brunt of many anti- car salesman jokes and redicule, to which I, Sandy did not deserve. I worked alot harder than any computer person, and made alot less money, for alot more hours. I was honest 100% of the time, because I had to face the man in the mirror every day, and I have a conscience! Next case. My now deceased Father was the oldest living, still practicing attorney in the state of N.J. He was from "the old school" a dedicated lawyer, specializing in patents (Patent Attorney) and also in Real Estate Closings. He past the bar in 1926 at the young age of 22, as he was brilliant and skipped many grades. He was a member of Mensa. He died in 1985, still working at age 81. He was the most respected Attorney in NJ, and oft called the "Lawyer's Lawyer". Know what? In 59 years as an attorney, he filed suit against 3 people, or one every 20 years. Yet, I have to always hear remarks about ALL LAWYERS BEING SUE HAPPY.
Anytime ANYONE (and this is NOT directed you you, Todd) says a blanket thing such as ALL Salesman, ALL Lawyers, ALL Black People, ALL Women, ALL Men, ALL Gay People, ALL this & ALL that and ALL and ALL and ALL......ALL I can think of is another person who believed in the ALL_______ and HIS name was Adolph Hitler.
We are all different, individuals, we all look diffenrently, hurt differently, and love differently. We cannot even give one & other blood, unless it's the same type.
Anytime, anyone hears someone began with ALL, in relation to human beings, just discount totally what they have to say. ALL is one very dirty little word. My .02 cents.
Regarding Todd: That was a beautiful reply and you are a BIG person to have made such an apology. You stand tall among the Canyons! I am sure Marq is not offended, you probably just touched a sore spot in him. We all have sore spots, 'ya kno!
